This colourful backpack, ideal from cycling, is made from woven strips of pre-consumer juice pack (doy) material. Pre-consumer juice packs are cut from rolls of packaging that have been rejected by the manufacturers, usually because of printing errors. Normally, these rejects would be slashed (to mark them as rejects) and then burned - giving off all kinds of hazardous fumes.

Features: A good-sized backpack with two straps (broad and slightly padded), great for cycling to school, the office or trips to the shops! The clever side opening closes securely with a zip and the roomy outside pocket also has a zip fastener. There are three useful inner pockets in the fabric lining.

• Doy bags are made from recycled foil juice packs (think of Capri-Sun pouches in the UK) - non-biodegradable foil and plastic packaging that would otherwise go into landfill sites and incinerators or end up in waterways or littering the streets.
• They are made by a women's cooperative (employing over 500 women, mostly from disadvantaged backgrounds) in the Philippines to Fair Trade principles.
• Each one is unique and handmade, durable and waterproof.
